Profile and About Jaime DeMarco Photography
Bio
Jaime DeMarco has had his eye attached to the lens of a camera since childhood when he was the self appointed official “photographer” for the family. While studying art at Lycoming College, he began his professional training. When he worked beyond the limits of the photography department, he supplemented his studies and his income by working for Ogden Publications’ “Williamsport Sun Gazette” where he learned the art of photojournalism and pre-press production. Independently, he also studied alternative processes such as: daguerreotyping, salt printing, wet glass plate negatives and with the help of local professionals became proficient at digital re-touching. The influence of his studies in analogue and digital technique is evident in his current work. The diversity of Jaime’s training, his curiosity for life, and his sheer love of photography is reflected every time he presses the shutter button. He is a featured photographer for Phase One Digital Backs and has been published both nationally and internationally.
